Sunday 21st February 2010

Glorious sunshine at 8.30, hangar doors were open and a curious Robin
hopped about on the K13.

Quite a small group today, but some useful flying was done. After
yesterdays great thermals, soaring was disappointing today. Some light
rain midday stopped us flying for a while.

The local community policeman stopped by for a chat. Nice chap, we
hope to see him again when his rounds bring him our way.

Well done Sandra Buttery, she is now flying the K8. Well done Alan
Carter on going solo---new motor bike on Saturday and solo on Sunday,
not a bad weekend really.

The tailplane is now off the K7 for minor maintenance work, wont be
off line for long. Thanks again everyone for making the day possible.

Thanks a lot to such a great group of people for their help and to Don for his wisdom, patience and bravery. Sorry about the 3 landings on my second solo. Revenge for the smell of mackerel sandwiches left in the cockpit ;-)
