The soaring forecast was not looking good with predicted low cloud bases. The wind was light SW so problem there. The soaring lived up to the lowly expectations. For most pilots if you missed a thermal you were back on the ground. The best flight of the day by far was Richard Roberts in his Discus at 1 hour and 29 minutes of determined soaring.

Today was a day of firsts. David Archer took his first flight in the K8 ( his first single seater ). Mark Elliott took his first flight in the K6. John Allen flew his Mini Nimbus at Brentor for the first time and Ella flew her first complete launch. Well done everyone.

We welcomed several visitors. Neil Barker was today's One Day Course Candidate. Father and son team Peter and Ian Harrow enjoyed Air Experience flights by way of celebrating their 80th and 50th birthdays respectively.
