So .. Wednesday started with an informative briefing by duty instructor Mike Jardine.
Once the field was set up and one of the k13s was deriged for a spot of maintenance, the early cloud cleared and rose steadily, to provide sunny patches.
Mike J then commenced some training flights with David M ,Dave B ,Dave A and just to take a break from the “Dave” overload ….Andrew and Robin.

Above is one day course student Richard Thomas who although hadn’t flown hands on since the air cadet days (over 62years ago!!) Richard flying progressed very well during the day - well done.

Mixed in with the days flying was returning one day course student Nick Bilton for his remaining 4 flights. ( a friend of our secretary Steve Fletcher who admitted to flying together in power planes , back in the day… when planes were only black and white )
The solo pilot's all took a flight or two in the club k8s that were shepherded to the east end launch point. General flight times varied up to an October award winning 30min.

Numerous other maintenance tasks were carried out on and off site today ( no pictures of the action as we thought we would concentrate on a flyable day for a change!) , and the club stalwart’s drove the winch, retrieved and generally made it all tick.
So …in conclusion 34 flights, mixed soaring opportunities and an early finish. Job done.
Thanks to all for making the most of the dry Wednesday.
