A westerly breeze promised easy launches and landings and as usual brought a low cloudbase. 6/8 cloud cover left very little sun on the ground to promote thermal formation.

Lots of cloud in the westerly breeze |
The club was busy. The visitor programme lead with One Day Course candidate Shane Brooks who flew with me. There were 3 other visitors Karrenne Weaver and husband and wife team Simon and Kate Elgar who all enjoyed Air Experience flights with Scratch ( Dene Hitchen).

Rick ( without arms imitating wings) briefing Andrew |
Most flights were circuits or extended circuits except for one flight by the Twin Astir which launched just right to find thermal to take it to cloudbase where it floated around for 1:12 minutes before returning for a change of crew.
A busy day with a total of 36 launches
Our thanks once again to all those who helped.
Steve
