High pressure is still very much in charge. However, instead of clear blue skies and endless sunshine we were with lowish 8/8 cloud cover the whole day thanks to a the tail end of a passing occluded front. winds were light southerly, This, coupled with an empty visitor diary meant that Mike Jardine could undertake the normal club training while CFI Rick Wiles could use the other "spare" K13 for Instructor revalidation, Bronze flight test and recency testing all of which involved a lot of practice cable breaks.

Oh what a grey day. |
First up with Rick was John Allan who completed his Bronze "C" flight checks. Well done John: Cross Country Endorsement next.

John waiting for the first of a series of flying with Rick and... |
|
... success. Well done John |
Rick then continued with Instructor revalidation flights with BI's Gavin Short and Phill Hardwick followed by a recency check ( read practice cable break ) with Ged Nevisky.
Mike Jardine was busy all day moving the training programme forward.

We welcomed a new member today, Danny Surgeon who had a couple of familiarisation flights with BI Phil Hardwick after which he signed on the dotted line. Welcome to the club Danny. We hope that you enjoy your journey learning to fly.

Danny ready to fly with Phil |
So another busy day. 38 launches, 2 BI annual revalidations, a bronze badge completed, a couple of recency check flights completed and lots solo pilots keeping current.
|
A puzzling development |

In flight catering no less |
