After a quick pitch inspection it was obvious that there would nor be any flying today, the runway is still far too wet after the considerable rain storms this week.
The members settled in the clubhouse to watch an educational video on thermal soaring techniques. The simulator was in use most of the day with members exploring the wave systems over the alps and exploring the reduction in VNE at altitude.
My thoughts turned to memories of good times past, prompted by an email from ex Wednesday instructor Bob Pirie who served the club for many years. He sent me a photo of a painting by his wife Carol which captures memories of Brentor.
