Dartmoor Gliding News-Wednesday 29th March 2023

As the photo shows the weather gods have definitely got it in for us. Not only was the cloud base far below the airfield but there was some heavy rain and strong winds just to spice things up. So all tasks today were of the indoor variety.

There's an airfield up there somewhere
The view south wasn't any better
In the clubhouse discussions turned to Field Landings. We watched a video, followed by a presentation on the same subject. This inspired some lively discussion around the subject.

All of this and more is available on the club website

In the workshop, work continues on the K8 replacement aileron hinges. This really is quite a tricky task; access to the relevant nuts and bolts is tricky despite the access holes which now need repairing. By the end of the day all 6 hinges were in place ready for the access repairs.

Please can we have some good flying weather soon.
