With a mostly blue sky, the sun shining you could be forgiven if you thought today was a warm spring day. The very brisk SW wind put paid to that and it was positively cold on the airfield.

The SE wind and pale sky. |
From the start it was obvious that the wind was out of limits for our visitors today, but club flying did continue with everyone getting a chance to experience the lively approach. There were a couple of modest soaring flights; 18 minutes for Mark Elliot with Rick and 22 minutes for Scratch and Heather.

Flying finished at 6pm after only 22 flights in time to put everything away ready for the AGM tonight.

Any takers? |
The AGM was completed efficiently with Andrew Downing being confirmed as both a Director and the Treasurer. Rick Wiles stood down as a Director as he must because of his position of CFI (Company rules). After re-election as a Director ( 1/3 of directors must resign each year; this year was my turn ), I was once again elected as Chairman.
