Autumn seems to be in charge of the weather. There has been a run of fronts bringing showers and blustery westerly winds. Today followed this pattern. Early on it looked as though conditions would be acceptable for our 2 One Day Course candidates but as we arrived at the launchpoint the true strength of the wind and gusts became apparent. The first flight by instructor Peter Howarth confirmed that the conditions aloft were "lumpy" so the decision was made to delay the courses to another day.

Club training continued and showed that most of todays flights would be circuits except for one flight by Scratch with Dave Bourchier in the front seat found a thermal and managed a day topping 33 minutes.
