There were a couple of questions to be answered before flying today. Will the weather last given that there is an occluded front a few miles north moving east. Will this shut us down? Is the airfield dry enough to support any flying.

A grey sky with some snow remnants on the higher Tors. |
The breeze was fairly gentle from the SE but was much stronger aloft which provided some challenges for the final approaches which were to be landed on the track. Cloud base was well above launch height. There was no signs of was. It was decided to field just one K13 to limit airfield damage.

There was enough time for one flight each just to maintain recency. The weather eventually did start to deteriorate but not until mid afternoon after everyone had had their fill.
